You're Invited: 3rd annual Family Night: 1990's edition!
Get ready to party like it’s the 90s! To celebrate our 30th anniversary and support the year-round work of Family Equality, we’re throwin’ a totally tubular 90s-themed community fundraiser that’s gonna be all that and a bag of chips on Wednesday, July 31* from 5:30-7:30PM at, like, Motta Field.
The event is free for all to attend, and we ask that you make a meaningful donation on behalf of your family. Registration is appreciated so we know how many of you rad people to plan for!
*Rain date: Thursday, August 1
What to expect:
It’ll be a night of fun for all ages! In addition to live music, there will be games and activities for youth (toddlers to teens and everything in between!), photo moments, and a place for families to meet each other on the dance floor! Light bites will be provided, but feel free to bring a picnic to share.
What to wear:
Pack your best 90s gear! We’re talkin’ flannel shirts, stacked polos, overalls, neon windbreakers, snapback caps, and fanny packs — and don’t forget those slap bracelets and butterfly clips! If you’re feelin’ fly, rock some JNCO jeans or your freshest pair of Air Jordans.
What to bring:
This is a new age, equitable family picnic so bring lawn chairs, blankets, bug spray, and sunscreen!
Why this event matters:
Anti-LGBTQ+ bills? As IF! In addition to hosting Family Week each year, Family Equality plays a critical role in the movement for LGBTQ+ equality, protecting families from anti-LGBTQ+ bills — most recently with our historic settlement that rolled back dangerous provisions in Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay and Trans” law. By giving a gift to Family Night, you are directly supporting our mission-critical work advocating for you and your family.
Thank you to our incredible sponsors who make Family Night possible!
Are you a part of an ERG and want to get your company involved in this special evening for our families?! Event Sponsorships are available!
