The Center for Coastal Studies pioneered freeing whales entangled in fishing gear in 1984. Techniques created here have now been exported to rescuers all over the world. Learn what it takes to free a whale or turtle trapped in gear. See the tools and pictures of rescues, then try your hand to “free” your own whale. This program is designed for kids ages 6-12. $5. Reservations recommended. (508-487-3623 x 114 or jmechling@coastalstudies.org)
